In "Coach Steven," the Crystal Gems use a warp pad to reach the ancient Gem Communication Hub, where they plan to destroy a malfunctioning antenna. After Pearl and Steven teleport home to protect Steven from debris, the Hub's warp pad is destroyed by falling rubble, stranding Sugilite there temporarily. Later, Sugilite uses another warp pad to return to the beach, proving that multiple pads exist and remain linked. The Crystal Gems arrived at the ancient Gem Communication Hub via a warp pad, stepping onto the stone circle and vanishing in a flash of light. After Pearl and Steven teleported home to escape debris, the Hub's warp pad was crushed by falling pillars, leaving Sugilite alone and furious. Hours later, Sugilite stomped up the beach, having used another warp pad to return, her flail dragging behind her. The beach pad glowed as she emerged, its surface intact and ready for the next traveler.
