The base features a large observation window overlooking Earth and a communication array that allows the Diamonds to project their forms across interstellar distances. The revelation that Rose Quartz was actually Pink Diamond does not occur here; it occurs in 'A Single Pale Rose'. Later, the base is used by Steven.
